Landon Robinson has not played a single snap in the NFL yet, and he is already doing things most rookies never do.

Robinson came to the Cincinnati Bengals as a defensive tackle out of the U.S. Naval Academy, and last Friday he was commissioned as a Marine 2nd Lieutenant before most rookies were even unpacking. That part alone would be enough to set him apart. But then Tim Krumrie showed up.

Krumrie is in the Bengals' Ring of Honor and holds the record for the most tackles ever made by a defensive tackle in the history of the game. He came by practice on a Wednesday, stood out in 85-degree heat, and gave Robinson personal tips on earning his first NFL tackle. Two people who took the idea of service seriously, at different scales, talking shop in the sun.
