Cornerback · Detroit Lions

Terrion Arnold

No. 6 · 3rd season

Arnold visits four teams while felony charges hang in the air.

Terrion Arnold is shopping for a new team. The cornerback, who left Detroit this offseason, visited the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks -- and according to ESPN sources, has plans to sign with Seattle.

Arnold was a depth option in Detroit's secondary, a young player trying to hold his place on an NFL roster. Now that opportunity depends on whether the league itself will let him play.

In February, Arnold was arrested on felony charges connected to a robbery and kidnapping. The NFL has not yet decided whether to place him on the Commissioner's Exempt List -- a move that would sideline him while legal proceedings unfold. Until that decision comes, any team that signs him is signing a player whose availability is not his own.

The visits show interest; the felony charges show why even interest comes with risk. Arnold is caught between the opening teams are willing to give him and the legal system that may close it.

ESPN sources: former Lions CB Terrion Arnold plans to sign with the Seattle Seahawks. Arnold also had visited the Texans, Saints and Giants. Next the NFL must decide whether to put Arnold on the Commissioner’s Exempt List after he was arrested on felony charges in connection with a robbery and kidnapping in February.
