Most players in Allen's position would smile and say they're focused on the process. Allen isn't doing that.

He played in four games last season before a knee injury ended everything. Whatever momentum he had built, whatever the New York Jets were expecting from him — it all went on hold. That's a long time to sit with something.

Now he's back, and when asked about the season ahead, he didn't soften it. He said it matters. A lot.
