Carson Beck's name is on the contract now

The paperwork is done. Carson Beck, the quarterback Arizona drafted to eventually grow into something, officially signed his four-year rookie deal with the Arizona Cardinals this week.

Beck came into the draft as one of the more watched young quarterbacks in this class — a player with a college résumé that earned real attention, now moving from prospect to professional with a signature on a page.

The deal is worth $7.4 million over four years, which is standard for where he was picked. That number matters less than what it signals: he is locked in, on the clock, and now doing the work that turns a draft pick into a player.

Three other rookie quarterbacks from this class are still without contracts. Beck isn't waiting on anyone.
