Clelin Ferrell has been in that window before. A former first-round pick who has spent recent seasons proving he still belongs in this league, Ferrell has kept showing up when other careers quietly fade.

He signed with the Miami Dolphins just ahead of training camp, which means he walks in on day one with everyone else — not catching up, not on the outside looking in.
