Offensive Lineman · Los Angeles Chargers
Rashawn Slater
No. 70 · 6th season
Fourth practice missed. The knee that won't stay quiet.
Rashawn Slater has missed four straight practices. A flare-up in his left knee—the same one that required surgery before—is keeping him sidelined.
Slater is the left tackle for the Los Angeles Chargers, a cornerstone piece of the offensive line. A franchise protects its quarterback from the blind side, and the Chargers built around him to do exactly that.
Knee flare-ups are not new territory for Slater. He has been through surgery on it once; now the injury is speaking again. Missing one practice is routine maintenance. Missing four is a conversation—between the training staff, the coaches, and Slater himself about what comes next.
The Chargers are watching to see if this settles or deepens. So is everyone else counting on that left side holding.
