Wide Receiver · New York Jets
Caullin Lacy
No. 35 · Rookie
Nobody drafted Caullin Lacy. The Jets did the next best thing.
The draft comes and goes in seven rounds, and some players just watch it end. Caullin Lacy was one of them this spring — 24 years old, 5'9", and left off every team's board coming out of Louisville.
What the sources give us is this: Lacy earned third-team All-Sun Belt recognition as a receiver, which means he was producing at a level people noticed, even if the draft room didn't call his name. The New York Jets did, just a few days later, signing him as an undrafted free agent.
For a player his size, every inch of opportunity has to be earned twice. Undrafted means no guaranteed roster spot, no draft capital protecting your job — just a chance to show up and make someone regret not picking you.
That's exactly the kind of camp to watch.
