Offensive Lineman · Denver Broncos

Alex Palczewski

No. 63 · 4th season

Nobody drafted him. The Denver Broncos kept him anyway.

Making a 53-man NFL roster is hard. Making it without anyone drafting you is something else entirely.

Alex Palczewski came to the Denver Broncos in 2023 without a draft slot, without a guaranteed spot, without much of anything except a chance to earn one. That is the undrafted free agent deal: show up, outwork everyone, and hope the people watching notice. Most don't make it.

Palczewski noticed. Training camp went well enough that the Broncos kept him when the roster cuts came down — 53 names on a list, and his was one of them. For a player who entered the building as a long shot, that is a real thing.

Now there is a starting left guard job that could be there for the taking. Whether Palczewski can go from "guy who made the team" to "guy who starts" is the next question. It is a bigger one.
