Pat Bryant is making the Broncos' coaches notice him at offseason practice
There are spots on a roster that nobody talks about until somebody makes them impossible to ignore. That is where Pat Bryant is right now.
Not much has been written about Bryant yet. He is not the headliner — Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton have those roles locked down. But in the Denver Broncos' offseason practice sessions, Bryant has been one of the players people keep watching.
He is competing for the third wide receiver spot on the depth chart, going up against Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims — two players the team has already invested in. The competition is not settling anytime soon; it is expected to carry through training camp and into the preseason games, where everything becomes real.
Third receiver does not sound like much. But on a team with a new-ish offensive identity and a quarterback learning who he can trust, the player who earns that spot gets real snaps, real targets, and a real chance to become someone the coaching staff builds around. Bryant is putting his hand up.
