Price walked into camp carrying more weight than most rookies ever see
Day one of rookie training camp usually belongs to everyone equally. Nobody's proven anything yet. This time, one player walked in already carrying a different kind of expectation.
Jadarian Price is a first-round pick — and in the NFL, that comes with a number attached to it that follows you everywhere. The Seattle Seahawks didn't take Price just to see how he does. They took him expecting him to matter, fast.
He reported to camp with the other rookies on Friday, but the questions around him were bigger than theirs. Seattle is already thinking about using him as a kick returner on top of his role as a running back — two jobs from the jump, before he's played a single professional snap.
That's a real vote of confidence. It's also a real amount of pressure. The Seahawks need things from him this year, and camp is where he starts figuring out what it feels like to have people waiting on the answer.
