Tank Dell

No. 1 · 4th season

Tank Dell said he'd be ready. The Texans just agreed.

Some roster announcements are just paperwork. This one isn't.

Tank Dell is a wide receiver for the Houston Texans who lost last season to a serious knee injury. That kind of setback doesn't just cost you games — it costs you momentum, your place in the conversation, the rhythm you spent years building. Back in June, Dell said publicly that he expected to be ready when training camp opened. A lot of players say things like that and quietly land on the list that tells you they're not.

Dell wasn't on that list. When the Texans posted their roster of players sidelined at the start of camp — the designation for those still working their way back from injury — his name wasn't there. The team's decision matched exactly what he'd been saying about himself.

That alignment matters. It means what he told people in June wasn't hope. It was a read on his own body that held up.

Now he walks into training camp with everyone else. Whatever this season becomes, it starts on his terms.

The #Texans released their list of PUP players and speedy WR Tank Dell is not on it. After missing last year with a significant knee injury, this is excellent news.
